To begin with, Indonesian government has made the programs for society to prevent a certain disease. For instance, there are vaccinations for zero up to one year old infants in which the realization happens irregularly each month. Moreover, the disease vaccination includes polio, meningitis, and tetanus. In a different subject, there is a checking for pregnant woman to know whether she has HIV Aids virus or not in her body. By doing that prevention, it can avoid that disease contaminate her baby. The last, for Muslims who are going to Arabian in fulfilling Hajj, there are health preparations to strengthen their immunity.
However, there are some advantages of prevention than cure. First, the expense would be cheaper because there is no a must to pay the administration that relates to health maintenance. Second, it would not waste the time of sufferer with just take a rest in hospital or bed room, so he or she can do their activities normally each day. Third, the virus of the disease would not spread widely; hence, it can press the government estimate to cope that problem.
Besides, prevention is not just about a vaccination which is something scientific. By making an advertisement in television, radio, or newspaper that contains of invitation to do a healthy life and right step to avoid a certain disease, it would be an effective way to decrease the ill person.
To sum up, there are some advantages in doing prevention and there are two kinds of prevention namely scientific and social.
Some people think that success is the best measure for intelligence while other think that intelligence can be measured in other ways. What is your opinion?
People mindset that the intelligence one would be successful than other, cannot be ignored. Besides, success is usually related to be a rich person and it deal with being an academic person. On contrary, there are nine types of intelligences, as psychology says namely Naturalist Intelligence (“Nature Smart”), Musical Intelligence (“Musical Smart”), Logical-Mathematical Intelligence (“Number or Reasoning Smart”), Existential Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence (“People Smart”), Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence (“Body Smart”), Linguistic Intelligence (“Word Smart”), Intra-personal Intelligence (“Self Smart”), and Spatial Intelligence (“Picture Smart”). From those types, not all related to academic which supports to reach success. So, I contend that success is not just the way to measure the intelligence.
First of all, human is a social creature that cannot life alone without others’ aid. Thus, someone who possesses Interpersonal Intelligence type would understand others feeling, and it create better interaction. Moreover, Intra-personal Intelligence can lead to be a neutral person and uphill to be influenced by desire, believe, emotion, and etc when faced a problem. In spite of, it is normal that conflict appear in society. In that case, a leader is really needed to be a mediator for those who are at loggerheads. On the other hand, human also coexistence with nature in which they are actually take the benefits each other. Evidently, a Naturalist Intelligence would be more sensitive, love, and has good relationship with nature. This type of intelligence is usually possessed by nature lovers and environmentalists. From explanations above, it is clearly seen that in life, someone cannot use the types of intelligence which relates to academic.
To summarize, there are nine kinds of intelligence, so success is not just the way to measure intelligence, but how to life well.
Some people believe that men and woman are equal and so woman should be able to do any job they want. Others feel that men and women are not equal and therefore there are certain jobs which are not suitable for women. What is your opinion?
It is a debatable issue that not all of the work can be done by woman. In contrast, if we talk about woman emancipation, that issue can be easily opposed. Thus, I contend that woman can do any kind of work, but there are still three considerations.
To begin with, the strength of woman and men are different, so the severe work like porter is not suitable for woman. Actually, there is no strict rule from government to prohibit woman to do that job, but social norm takes the role as a limitation. The woman who does that job may be shy if others mock her; hence, she prefers to choose job that relates to think or skill, such as: doctor and tailor.
Moreover, woman is a prospective mother who would manage home affair like cooking, educate children, etc. So, it is better for woman if choose the job that would not take a lot of time outside. For instance, be a pilot, sailor, and soldier are not good idea whereas teacher, psychologist, and writer are the wise choice. By selecting such a that job, a woman can be a career person as well as responsible mother.
Furthermore, it is naturally that woman’s anxiety bigger than man. Because of that, a dangerous job like animal and bomb tamer should be averted by woman. On the other hand, someone (woman) would not be able to think clearly in the panic situation.
To summarize, woman and men are not equal in choosing the job; because there are three considerations for woman to take job and it relates to their destiny as a female namely strength, as a prospective mother, and level of anxiety.
